est. 2010

This season's Lincoln Flickers Cup draw was made at The Morning Star on Tuesday 24th January by Messrs. Garbutt, Jackson and Devaney. For those of you with exceptionally sad, boring lives there's even a video of the process viewable at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0TeMR4xjT8.
The draw in full:
1ST ROUND
Santa Domingo vs. Western Rangers
Unreal United vs. Spital Subastars
Keddington Park Rangers vs. Moston Torpedo
Karmic Gaming vs. Surfari City
QUARTER FINALS
Schmohawk Wanderers vs. Old Traffordians
FC Family Elephant vs. Unreal United or Spital Subastars
Keddington Park Rangers or Moston Torpedo vs. Santa Domingo or Western Rangers
Karmic Gaming or Surfari City vs. Fairfield Rovers
All matches will be played over a single leg lasting 10 minutes each way. If scores are level at the end of that time, a single period of extra time lasting a maximum of 7½ minutes will be played, but if either player scores prior to the end of that period then the match is over and the player scoring is declared the winner. If scores remain level at the end of extra time the winner of the tie will be determined by means of a shoot-out.
The first match in this season's cup competition was played at the club's meeting on Wednesday 25th January with the following result:
Keddington Park Rangers 0 Moston Torpedo (3) 6

The division one fixture list has been extended so that every player/team now plays each of its opponents a total of four times, twice at home and twice away. This brings it into line with the situation in division two.
The Copa Libertadores section now contains information about this season's competition, including an entry form.
The club's first rugby competition has been scheduled for Saturday 25th February commencing at 11.30am at The Morning Star. See the Subbuteo Rugby section for further details. The closing date for entry is Saturday 18th February. This is because numbers for the buffet order need to be known by that date.
A poster outlining the club's schedule for the second half of the season, i.e. January-July 2012, can be viewed and downloaded here.
The club's next open competition, originally scheduled for Sunday 18th March 2012, has been moved forward to Wednesday 7th March commencing at 6.30pm at The Morning Star. The main reason for the switch is that people have voted with their feet at the past couple of Sunday competitions whereas Wednesday seems to be a popular day with almost everyone. The theme of the competition will be The Copa Libertadores, i.e. a repeat of the tournament held in April of this year. Further details including an entry form will follow in January.
The ongoing records of Flickers players in external competitions can now be viewed on The News Page.
A new section, Player Records, has been added to the site. The first material to be included is a table summarising the performances of all Lincoln Flickers players in competitive subbuteo (Flickers competitions only) during the 2010/11 season. The table contains comprehensive win-draw-loss records plus summaries of tournaments won as well as those in which the player finished second.
FORTHCOMING FLICKERS MEETINGS (all at The Morning Star Pub, Greetwell Gate):
WEDNESDAY 15TH FEBRUARY 7.30PM (League and friendly matches)
SATURDAY 25TH FEBRUARY 11.30AM (Flickers Rugby Union Challenge Cup)
IMPORTANT NOTE: The Morning Star's landlady has agreed to make the pub premises available at short notice on any other Wednesday night so that players with a shortfall of fixtures can make some inroads into the backlog.
